It’s Sandwich Day on Sam the Cooking Guy. Meatball sliders, Crispy Veil Sandwich, Hot Brown and a Patty Melt.
Meatball sliders: In a bowl mix 1lb of ground beef, 1/2 lb of Italian sausage, 3/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 chopped parsley, 3/4 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 of ricotta cheese, 2 eggs & salt and pepper. Mix by hand and make 8 meatballs and put on baking sheet. Set oven to 450 degrees and cook meatballs for about 20 minutes.
Heat tomato sauce in a pot. Use Hawaiian rolls, add butter and grill face down and then spread with pesto sauce. Once meatballs are done cooking, dip into heated tomato sauce and add to rolls.
Crispy Veil Sandwich: Prep a breading station using 3 bowls, one with an egg, the other with salt, pepper and parmesan and the last bowl with flour. Using veil or other meat dip into each bowl and then place on grill.
In a grill friendly bowl add garlic & spinach and heat on grill. Grill bun of choice.
Once veil is cooked, add to bun and top with garlic, spinach and mozzarella.
Smoky Hot Brown: Prep a cheese sauce by adding 2 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of butter, crispy diced bacon, 1/2 cup of greyer or Swiss cheese, 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, dash of cayenne and kosher salt in a hot pan, and mix.
Cut a bagel in half, add butter and toast. Use a smoked turkey leg and slice.
Place both part of the bagel on a plate, add 3 slices of tomato, then the turkey slices, top with cheese sauce and more parmesan. Place in broiler for 2 minutes and top with bacon.
Patty Melt: Grill some red onion with butter until caramelized. Using ground beef add salt, pepper and Worchester sauce and mix by hand, make a patty and place on grill. Using your bread of choice, add Swiss cheese, and/or American cheese, Japanese mayo and horse radish Once patty is done grilling add to bread and top with onions. Then place the sandwich back on the grill and add butter to one side of the bread and then flip and add butter to the other side.
