The first floor of the West Wing is included as part of the tour and provides displays about the family, the Arts and Crafts movement, and other local interests.

The Tucson Conservation Center is being developed as a rainwater harvesting demonstration site. The purpose of the project is to design a variety of rainwater harvesting and planting areas that demonstrate concepts of sustainability and conservation through appropriate applications of passive and active water harvesting techniques. This educational endeavor will help others learn and use rainwater conservation practices that benefit the citizens in this region of the state. Docent-led public tours will be held weekly at the Nature Conservancy.

Our artfully meteorological exhibit will present artist’s representations of wind, rain, sleet, snow, hurricane, tornado, sun and fog…and offer a little light climatology on the side. Artwork selected ranges from paintings to prints, and sculpture to weavings. Emphasis will be on creative movement, fundamentals found through reading, stormy weather art-making activities and the opportunity to present today’s weather forecast in front of the green screen television camera (creativity & imagination). We are pleased to announce our 40th annual “Fiesta del Tlaquepaque,” a celebration of Mexican Independence Day, Saturday, September 14th, 2013.
