Phoenix Symphony’s performance of “Beethoven Lives Upstairs”
Based on the book “Beethoven Lives Upstairs”, the Phoenix Symphony and actors from the Classical Kids Live bring to life this special story. A “madman” has moved into the upstairs apartment above young Christoph’s Vienna home. Christoph tells his uncle of the new neighbor, none other than Ludwig Van Beethoven, through letters dramatically underscored with the composer’s most beautiful excerpts including the Moonlight Sonata, Für Elise, the 5th and 9th Symphonies. The Phoenix Symphony and actors from Classical Kids Live bring to life the characters of Christoph and his uncle as they explore the history, music and fun of Beethoven’s genius.
