Weekly Recap First round Playoff - 11/14/08 Brophy’s shut down defense carry them to the second round! |

The Basha Bears had to win their last two regular season games to make it to the playoffs. After accomplishing that, they drew a first round match up against the Brophy Broncos, a team they lost to 7-0 earlier on in the season.
Both defenses
showed up, as
was the case in
the first match
up between these
two teams, as
the first score
came with 8
seconds left in
the 1st quarter.
Quarterback Jeff
Quinf lobed a
pass to wide out
Scott Robinson
in the back of
the end zone for
a touchdown and
a 7-0 lead.
Turnovers and
field conditions
made it very
tough for any
team to find a
rhythm on
offense. After
adding a field
goal late in the
second quarter,
Brophy took a
10-0 lead into
