My Voice. My Vote., the newest addition to the My Voice. My Choice series, airs on Cox7-AZ in the fall of 2008. The program was created to educate students about the electoral process and the importance of voting.

The half hour program, where students from local high schools in Scottsdale participated in an assembly where they learned about the history of voting in the United States through an interactive and engaging presentation.

In addition, the students were guided through a mock election where they selected representatives from amongst their peers to run against each other.

The students also learned how to register to vote and the importance of civic participation. Local government representatives participated on a panel to answer questions from the students.

And, the CNN Election Express Yourself bus pictured above was onsite as well. Students had the opportunity to record their own video shout-out in the CNN Air Stream studio, design their own political button and participate in a political trivia contest.
