Kevin Ray
Kevin begins his 9th year with Cox 7 Sports as the play by play voice of their High School Sports package. Kevin has been a part of the Phoenix sports landscape for more than 16 years. In that time he’s become one of the longest tenured sports broadcasters in this fast growing marketplace.
The majority of those 16 years he spent with 620 KTAR, one of the country’s top News Talk & Sports stations. During his time at KTAR Kevin held several different positions and titles. Kevin’s accomplishments with KTAR showed his versatility as a broadcaster. He went from Producer to Talk Show Host, Program Director, Sports Director and beyond.
As the Host for the Planet Orange Pregame and Postgame Shows on the Suns Radio Flagship 620-KTAR the last several years he’s become the voice that Phoenix Suns fans can count on to get their night started and the one that delivers the breakdown afterwards. During his time with KTAR he had the opportunity to cover Super Bowls, NBA Playoffs, National Championships in College Football & numerous other sporting events. While at KTAR Kevin won several Associated Press Awards for his radio broadcast work!
Along with his commitments to the Suns broadcasts, he has been the Play-by-Play voice of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury & the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl (9years). Kevin has won several Associated Press Awards for his radio broadcast work! .
Kevin also Co-owns Pure Sports Marketing, which is the official broadcast/marketing partner of the AIA Broadcast Network, bringing live Arizona Prep Sports to the Phoenix metro area via The Fan AM 1060 Sports Radio. Kevin and his wife Marci reside in Glendale with their children Devon,Zachary & Alexandra
Dale Hellestrae
Dale Hellestrae is well known to Arizona football fans for his various television and radio work with Cox Communications, Fox Sports Arizona, KTAR AM 620, and KPNX TV12. Dale graduated from Scottsdale’s Saguaro high school in 1980 where he was an all-state performer on the Sabercats state runner-up football team as well as an all-state basketball player.
He went on to a stellar collegiate career as an offensive lineman at SMU where he opened holes for Eric Dickerson and Craig James, the famed Pony Express backfield. Dale spent 17 seasons playing in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and Baltimore Ravens. He won three Super Bowl rings in 1993, 94, and 96 while a member of the Cowboys. Dale made his mark as one of the top long snappers in NFL history.
He currently resides in Scottsdale with his wife Brooke and their two daughters, Hillary (16) and Kendyll (13). Dale owns and operates “Cookies by Design” in Scottsdale.
chris harris
Chris is in his second year with Cox 7 TV as a Play by Play Announcer and Sideline Reporter for high school games. He also reports on golf shows involving the FBR Open and Fry’s Electronics Open.
Prior to joining the Cox 7 team, Chris was an award winning TV Reporter for the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, Utah for 8 years. During his time at KJZZ-TV, Chris conducted interviews with the NBA’s elite, reported feature stories, and traveled with the Jazz on road trips. While in Salt Lake City, Chris was also the TV Sideline Reporter for the Utah Blaze, University of Utah football team, and filled in as a sports talk radio show host. He also had the opportunity to work as the Sideline Reporter for NBA TV’s broadcasts of summer league games.
Chris got his start in television in 1993 working locally here in Phoenix at KPNX (Channel 12) for a year before moving on to KNXV (Channel 15), where he spent 5 years. During his career, Chris has covered the Olympics, Super Bowls, NBA Playoff and All Star Games, NCAA Championship Games, and numerous other major sporting events.
A native of Arizona, Chris graduated from Scottsdale’s Saguaro High School in 1988 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Arizona in 1993.
Armon Williams
Armon is a native Phoenician. As a High school football and track & field standout at Valley Christian H.S. Armon has faced many of the schools he'll be commenting on "on the field".
A First Team All Pac 10 selection in football while at the University of Arizona (1995 & 1996), Armon was drafted by The Houston Oilers in 1997. His NFL experience also continued with the Minnesota Vikings & New Orleans Saints.
If Armon looks familiar, you may have seen him elsewhere. He also works as a professional standup comedian, actor, writer, and model. As if that wasn't enough, Armon also finds time to do personal training & fitness conditioning.
