Kick contest for
outstanding Moms from
each school we
broadcasted. From that,
three Moms’ were
selected to be featured
in an interactive
commercial, where
viewers voted via their
remotes to select the
Ashley Furniture Home
Store Mom of the Year.
Congratulations to
Charlotte Pottle of
Centennial High School
who was chosen as this
year’s High School
Football Mom of the
Year. Charlotte received
a $2000 gift certificate
from Ashley Furniture
Home Store and all
finalists received $250
worth of digital dollars
from Cox Communications.
The three finalists
featured in the
interactive commercial
were Centennial’s
Charlotte Pottle,
Apollo’s Lauren Keffer
and Westview’s Terri
Hackett.

Notre Dame: Pam Lannan Pam is the Notre Dame prep nominee for the Cox football mother of the year at the Notre Dame-Greenway football game on November 7th. Pam has four sons that have played football for NDP with senior Shane Lanai currently starting at defensive end for the Saints this year and last year. Pam has led a number of successful groups and events at Notre Dame including past president of the NDP mothers guild and chairperson of various other committees over the past six years since the school’s inception. Pam is currently the varsity parent liaison for Notre Dame football, in addition to chairing the purple and gold fall sports festival for this season and co-chairing the Notre Dame-Marin catholic football classic for our successful trip to San Francisco last weekend. Pam continues to be active in all aspects of Notre Dame and is a tireless supporter of Notre Dame football. congratulations Pam!! |

Greenway:
Debbie Jones Debbie is the proud mother of 2 boys, Corbin is 18 and plays football and Shelby is 16 and plays both football and soccer. She is very involved in all of her son’s school activities, starting very early as a PTA member in elementary school and continuing to help out through the years, now a member of their high school’s booster club. She does all this while working full time as a personal trainer at Chambo Wellness Center located at 49th Avenue and Bell. Pam volunteers to help out whenever it is needed and is a shining example of an outstanding mom. |

Paradise Valley: Sandi Borys Sandi is a PVHS graduate herself, and is the proud mom of two PVHS graduates, and 2 current students. Freshman (Emily) along with senior (Dylan), both involved in sports and school activities. A PV Football booster club Co-President and Treasurer she's first to volunteer, even giving up her Saturday afternoon to a last minute call from a coach on an unexpected project. A member of the PTO booster club and has been a Project Graduation chair member for three years, a program designed to keep our graduating seniors safe on the night of their graduation by providing activities in a controlled environment . Sandi is involved, dividing her time on Friday nights between overseeing fundraising activities, making sure the snack bar is running, and… cheering for her son and his teammates, the band, cheer and spirit line! On a personal note, Sandi has been married to her husband Bob for 25 years and works full time for Hospice of Arizona. Sandi, it’s thanks to you and all of the parents like you, that our PVHS student athletes are supported in their athletic and academic endeavors! |

Chaparral:
Renee Fox Renee is the proud mom of three children, Joelle is 22 and was a cheerleader in high school, Brian is 19 and plays soccer for the University of Colorado and Aaron is 18 and a senior on the Varsity football team. Renee is a member of the booster club and supports her home team in many different ways. She helps with the end of the year banquets and coordinates food/drinks for the Sand Diego Seven on Seven tournament. She also created ‘Football Mothers 101’ and hosted a dinner featuring her creation where nearly 50 people were in attendance. She teaches mothers how to support their team and gave a speech using The Secret methods. When she is not busy helping out at Chaparral, she is working on a health and fitness center with her sister to help people become healthy. Renee believes it is important to invest in your health inside and out and at all ages. |

Chandler: Rhea
Spears Rhea has three children: Taylor, 20, who played football and baseball for the Wolves, Logan, 17, a junior football and baseball player, and Ashton, 14, a volleyball, soccer, and softball player at Andersen Jr. High. Rhea is a teacher at Chandler High School and active football booster club member. She has been the treasurer of the football booster club for five years and a member for seven years. Rhea organizes the pre-game and game day meals for the varsity football team, provides cash boxes for all home football games at CHS, tracks revenues and expenditures, and helps with all of the fundraisers. In addition, she organizes the football mentor program where each varsity player has a teacher or staff member as their mentor. This program sets the football program apart from other schools and encourages school wide support for the program. Rhea attends all of the varsity football games and many of the Freshmen and JV games. GO Wolves! |

Mesquite:
Wendy Jameson Wendy is the proud mother of #74, Senior Nathan Jameson, and future pro-golfer and 8th grader, Colton Jameson. She and husband Pat have been married over 20 years and volunteering for the athletic program at Mesquite for four years, contributing in both Track and Football. For the past two years, she has been responsible for the Touchdown Club website and blog--writing, editing, uploading, linking, designing and redesigning--and this year she took on building the club database and managing all email as the Club Publicity chair as well. She regularly volunteers at the spirit products table, in concessions, selling DVDs and 50/50, hanging banners for games, building goal boards and wherever there's a need. She's also at every Track meet, cheering and helping measure for throwers. When she's not whistling in the stands or pacing the sidelines, she works for money as an internet consultant, editor and copywriter. |

Desert Mountain:
Carol Hubner Carol is the mother of 4 boys, Scott is 20, Josh is 17 and on the Varsity football team, Ryan is 15 and Brandon is 13 and plays football and basketball. Carol has been the team photographer for 2 years and hosts the offensive line dinners every week. In addition to working full time, she still finds time to bake cookies and brownies for the team every week, which they definitely love her for! |

Desert Ridge:
Dianne Deleon Dianne is the mother of Junior Buck Deleon. She serves as the Booster Club Treasurer and is also a big supporter of the wrestling program, in which Buck also participates.

Cesar Chavez:
Lisa Bundy Lisa Bundy is a terrific mom of 2 boys. D’Mikel is 16 and a junior that plays football and wrestles and Marquis is 14 and a freshman that plays football and will play basketball as well. Lisa has always been very active in high school programs and is a high school counselor. She encourages students and guides them academically to take rigorous classes and persuades them to take the ACT’s and SAT’s for college. Currently, Lisa is putting together the fall sports program for Cesar Chavez. She is a great mom that goes above and beyond in so many ways. |

Trevor Browne:
Laura Smith Our outstanding mom’s name is Laura Smith; she is the mother of #32 Brian Damper. Brain lost his oldest brother and one of his biggest fans this year. The passing of one son pulled mom even closer to Brian and his football commitment. She has supported the team in a variety of ways. She has participated in bake sales to raise money for the team. She donated money to the team through fund raisers, and she has always been a parent wanting to help with anything the team has needed. The coaching staff knows she is behind the team and her son 110 percent. She prays that the team has a very successful season, and that her son continues to play the game of football. She is a true TEAM mom. |

Charlotte Pottle Charlotte is a mom of 4. She is the coach for Oakwood Elementary Volleyball team and also a basketball coach for the City of Peoria. She is the owner of Club Arrowhead, Inc. Her hobbies include traveling, working out, playing tennis, volleyball, basketball, any kind of sport, mountain climbing, bike riding and running. |

freshmen, JV and

She has attended

attended almost
every passing league
game before the
season. She always
answers yes whenever
the Football team or
I ask for anything.
She also attends all
of the track meets.
She is a die hard
"THUNDER" fan and is
a regular at many DV

Basha: Kim Tarwater Kim and her husband Neal Tarwater are part of the Basha Football Booster Club. This is their 7th year, and they love it! Kim and Neal both graduated from Chandler high School, where Neal played football for Coach Wall and Kim cheered. The Tarwaters have 4 children: Coartney 25, Nikki 23, Robby 20 and Chase a junior at Basha. Coartney is married to Nick Wright and they have the two most beautiful babies in the whole world, Lexi and McKayla. The girls, Coartney and Nikki graduated from Hamilton High and Robby and Chase will be Basha High graduates. Kim has served as PTA President at Frye Elementary School and is currently on the Parent Advisory Board representing Basha High. The Tarwaters are very active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Their oldest son Robby is on a mission in Mozambique, Africa. is due home in June and can’t wait to watch Chase play football next year.Football is all important at the Tarwater home, but like Coach Mac says…”It’s not just football, it’s BASHA BEARS FOOTBALL.”. |

Jenny Garcia Jenny is the mother of Senior, David Garcia # 53 who plays on the D-line. She has been actively involved in the football booster club for the last three years helping with fundraising and team meals. |

Westview: Terri
Hackett Terri exemplifies the meaning of volunteer and parent involvement in the community and schools her kids attend. Terri is a current member and past Booster Club President while her son Brad, a recent graduate, was playing (Football, Soccer & Baseball ). Terri always instrumental in fund raising continues to give her time to the Westview Football Program and support it in anyway she can along with her husband Donn. They also support their daughter, Kristi’s activities which include Soccer and Student Council. Kristi is a sophomore at Westview. Terri is one of those parents that if asked will do what she can without question and happy to do so without praise. Terri and Donn also own their own business, Arizona Storage Rental. This is a very giving family and helping others is just their nature, we are very proud to have them in the Knight Family and the Avondale Community. |

Deer Valley:
Debbie Brueckner Debbie is a PTA member, Team Mom, Coach, Chauffeur and most importantly, our biggest fan. Debbie is the current President of the Deer Valley Football Booster Club, a member of the Deer Valley Track and Field Booster Club and the mother of 2 Deer Valley students, Ashley, Deer Valley Class '03 and Scott a Junior Defensive End and Punter on the Varsity Football team. Scott is also on the Track & Field team where he has earned his varsity letter both freshman and sophomore years. While Ashley was in high school, she was involved with the DVHS Spirit line Booster club for 4 years (Pres. for 2 & V. P. for 1). |

Millennium: Cheryl
Gaillard Cheryl is the mom of two boys, Seth is 16 and plays football and wrestles and Trent is 12, plays basketball and baseball. She is the booster club secretary for the high school and the PTA president for her son's middle school. She goes to every football game, wrestling match and event. She is always busy supporting her son's schools and being a terrific mom! |

Shadow Mountain:
Lori Brooks As booster club president. Lori does much for the program, setting up game programs, fundraisers, banquets, meals for each level of football before the games, working the snack bar at freshman & JV games and hasn't missed a game in 3 years! She designs the cover of our program, her son is a four year player on varsity, and is a 3 year baseball player, she even donates her husband's services . She does all this, and still works full time. She always says she just wants to make sure that the "boys" enjoy their years of high school and know that people support the hard work they do. A spokesperson recently commented: "There is no other parent who does as much for any program here at Shadow Mtn." |

Corona Del Sol:
Donna Crothers Donna is the mother of 2 boys, Austin is 16 and plays football, soccer and track and Sean is 13 and plays soccer. She is a member of the Touchdown Club and sells t-shirts at all the games. She never misses her sons’ games. |

Red Mountain:
Colette Lunsford Colette is the mother of 3 children. Josh is 18 and plays football and baseball, Courtney is 16 and plays basketball and Wesleigh who is 14 will most likely play softball in the Spring. She is very involved with her children’s sporting activities and never misses a game. She also added, Go Mountain Lions!! |

Apollo: Lauren
Keffer Lauren Keffer has been a part of the Apollo community since 1999. She is a mother of 4, Shane graduated in 2003 as a 3-year varsity letterman in football, Savannah graduated in 2004, and Morgan and Marshall are currently juniors in the Apollo football program. In addition, the Keffer family has hosted 5 foreign exchange students, 3 of which attended Apollo High School. Currently, Sven Kestila from Finland is living with the Keffer family and participating in the Apollo football program. Lauren has served and volunteered as an officer with the Apollo Booster Club for the past eight years. In addition, she has been an active parent with NJROTC, Student Council, Football, Badminton, Girls Soccer, Baseball and Softball over the years. She has been a part of the school Site Council and served as a parent participant for district interview committees. Lauren was Apollo’s Volunteer of the Year for the 2002-2003 school year. |

Tandy Taylor Tandy is the mother of 3 children. Chaz 2nd grade, LaShae 10th grade and CJ who is a senior football player. Tandy and her husband Chris have been married for 19 years. She graduated from Show Low High School and then graduated from Northern Arizona University where she played for the Lady Lumberjack Basketball Team. Her children say that she is very supportive, never misses a game and is the best mom ever. |
